Simon McKenna - Chief Executive

Simon began his career in leisure as a pool attendant in Ely before moving to St Neots as the pools officer for St Neots Indoor Pool and then centre manager of St Neots Leisure Centre. During this time he gained many practical management and coaching awards including a Certificate in Management Studies, ASA Swimming Teachers Certificate, badminton and squash coaching awards. He joined Lynnsport in 1997 as the General Manager and latterly the Senior Leisure Manager with wider responsibilities within the leisure department. Simon has trained as a Quest Assessor (UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure) and undertaken numerous Quest assessments nationwide. Originally qualified in leisure management at the Polytechnic of North London, holder of the Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management (ILAM) Diploma and Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 7 Executive Diploma in Management.

Nina McKenna - Director of Culture & Communications

After completing a BA Hons degree in Business and Marketing at Anglia University Nina began her career as Publicity Assistant for the Borough Council's Arts and Entertainment venues. Progressing up the career ladder she then became Marketing Officer for the Green Quay Millennium Project. Gaining experience in a variety of roles and industries Nina returned to the Council Arts and Entertainment facilities as Marketing Manager in 2008, before taking on a corporate role for the Alive Leisure Trust in 2014.

Tommy Goode - Director of Business Development

Tommy has been involved in sport and leisure since 1996 starting out as a football coach before moving into leisure as a Fitness Consultant, He then became Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer with Fenland Leisure setting up the first Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme in the area. After completing a BSc (Hons) Sports Science degree at Anglia Ruskin University Tommy then moved into education with the College of West Anglia delivering training to the leisure industry with a number of private and public sector organisations, some on a national scale. Tommy managed sports facilities for the college and oversaw sports development and the move to a new sports campus based at Lynnsport. While leading the new sports campus, the work with partners received a number of national awards including college of the year awards with the LTA and RFU and status as England Basketball School of Basketball and the first FA Football Development Hub in the east region. Tommy is also chairman of Kings Lynn Community Football.

Neil Gromett - Chief Operating Officer

With over 25 year's experience in Sport and Leisure Neil began his career at Breckland Leisure Centre. Neil moved to the Oasis as a Duty Officer in 1990. Throughout his career he has managed Oasis, Downham and St James. Neil became Chief Operating Officer of Alive Management in 2013, and also works for Right Directions as a Registered Assessor for Quest (the UK Quality Scheme for Sport & Leisure).

Philip Bayfield - Alive Corn Exchange Manager

Philip began a career in Arts and Entertainment as a Blue Coat in 1990. Philip then worked on cruise ships as a professional magician for 6 year before returning to dry land and taking up the post of Assistant Front of House Manager at the King's Lynn Arts Centre. He has now worked his way up to become Alive Corn Exchange Manager. Philips role also includes overseeing the maintenance and programme for the Arts Centre Guildhall.

Lewis Hemeter - Alive Lynnsport Manager

Lewis started on the Borough's YTS scheme, starting in 1996. Lewis' role in Fitness has given him experience at Oasis, St James and Downham. Taking on a managerial role in 2003 Lewis has expanded his interest in health and safety and corporate compliance to become Lynnsport Manager in 2014.

Dave Cleland - Alive Oasis Manager

Dave started his working career with the Borough Council as work experience at the young age of 16yrs. He has worked at a number of venues in different roles working up the management ladder, gaining a level 5 diploma in management to his current role as Centre Manager at Alive Oasis for Alive Management. During his working career and for the past 19yrs he’s been privileged to be a member of the RNLI Lifeboat currently as a Helmsman and at the same time for the past 4 years worked as a retained Fire Fighter at Hunstanton where he has gained qualifications to cover the role as a junior Officer in Charge.

Lucy Mellish - Alive St James Pool Manager

Lucy chose a future in Sport and Leisure at 17 when she joined the Boroughs YTS scheme  in 1992. Lucy has worked at a whole variety of local sports venues and facilities and has taken on a wide variety of roles. Within her current role as Centre Manager for Alive St James she also has responsibility for the Borough's Community Centre's and is a qualified  trainer in swimming, first aid, fitness and life guarding.

Louise Biggs - Alive Downham Leisure Manager

Starting a career in Sport and Leisure at Lynnsport in 1995 Louise took on a variety of fitness roles before moving to Downham as duty Manager in 2001. She then progressed to Manager at Downham Leisure in September 2014. Louise is also a qualified fitness instructor and life guard.

Mark Mitchell - Corporate Sales and Fitness Manager

Joining the Boroughs YTS scheme in 1992 at Lynnsport Mark has specialised in fitness training. Moving from a Leisure Attendant to a Fitness Instructor before taking on managerial roles at Oasis and Downham. Mark now enjoys a corporate role as Sales and Fitness Manager across Alive Leisure.

Elaine Hinds - Administration Manager

Starting at Oasis when it opened in 1984 firstly as a receptionist and then moving up to Administration Officer. Elaine moved over to Lynnsport when it opened in 1991 taking on the role of Administration Manager. Now heading up Alive Card Services and the Lynnsport administration team Elaine is also a qualified AAT technician.
